The Eight was introduced in 1934 was completely new with a three bearing 918cc engine that was to continue through to the post-war Minor. It was fitted with the same hydraulic brakes as the 1934 Minors it replaced.

The radiator badge and mascot were the main visible changes, the badge was inscribed with Morris 8 rather than Morris Eight. A conventional speedometer replaced the ribbon type that the Eight had inherited from the Minor

Click picture to enlargeCommercial variants of the Eight are relatively rare these days although there are a couple of vans that are to be seen on Morris Register events. The correct wheels are similar to the early Minors and have small hub centres. They differ form the earlier wheels in that they have a six, rather than three, stud fixing.
